Yes the world has now become half android and half apple infected.
There are some good and some bad things happening in the process. Apples hardware is absolutely a class apart from the rudimentary version that are still afloat with Android.
However, the dual core bug has bitten the manufacturers very bad, and in a matter of months we shall see a slew of such products hit and flood the market, at costs and performances close to apples.
I for one have been thoroughly impressed with the LG P990 (optimus 2x). It is a joy to use phones with such brute power at your fingertips. I did cough when I had to pay for the hardware far above my average ration allocated for such gadgets. But it was not in vain, as the beast in my palm really gave me a high.
With 1080 HD capability for camera and with a HDMI cable for direct connection, and features like PC phone (you can control and use the phone while on your PC), many new innovations have come into the mobile hardware and software which just about a year ago were not even on the horizon!
The only let down was the 2.2 Froyo version, which technically could have been a Gingerbread instead, with a bit more homework from LG.
